Vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is an export commodity from the fisheries sub-sector which has high economic value. The development of aquaculture systems traditional to intensive potential for disease attacks. Control spread must be done as early possible, one method prevention using immunostimulants. An alternative source immunostimulants that can used increase immune system octopus (Octopus sp.) ink. Octopus ink generally not or thrown away when meat processed. Research on also minimal compared squid and cuttlefish purpose this review provide overview immunostimulant vaname shrimp. It known content consists mostly alkaloids, melanin, amino acids, carboxylic acids. various roles based its compound such antimicrobial, antioxidant, antibacterial, antiretroviral, anticancer, anti-ulcerogenic, anti-inflammatory, antivirus, antifungal, antiviral, anti-proliferative. From results literature study, it explicitly necessary carry out further research find more complete compounds in so cultivation identified clearly.
